Well, that was a bit of fun.  Reaction at the conference to Ewan’s keynote was good.  And in a cool (& impressively rapid) series of blog posts the man has not only recorded the broad strokes of his talk but taken things wider and deeper.  He’s also put up a Flickr set  that catches the full range of his presentation – images, slides, the lot.   Impressive and useful…

One of the problems of a multi-strand conference like CESI is that you don’t always get to attend the workshops you want. And this year, the workshops seemed to turn up a particularly good mix of ideas and information.  Luckily there were enough UCD PG people on the ground over the two days to ensure that we got pretty wide coverage of the event. [Glad to see many of you could make at least part of the event. ] So what I suggest is that we talk the conference  through on Monday week at our regular classtime.

Can you (indidvidually or collectively) make a few notes to share with each other (and me!) on what you got from your first visit to the CESI confererece — with a bit of extra attention to sessions where you were the only / one of the only PG group present?  In the meanwhile comments  about CESI and technology (below) are particularly welcome on this one.

It might even be worth a Mars bar to you…
